Free QR Code Generator
Enter a link, text, Wi-Fi network or contact and your QR code appears instantly, ready to download as PNG or SVG. It’s generated in your browser with no redirect, so it never expires.
How to make a QR code
- Choose a type — link, text, Wi-Fi or contact — and fill it in. The code updates as you type.
- Optionally change colors and error correction. Keep the code darker than the background.
- Tap Download PNG or Download SVG.
QR code tips
- Test before printing with at least two phones.
- Say what it does. A label like “Scan for the menu” or “Join Wi-Fi” gets more scans.
- Shorter links make simpler codes that scan better when printed small.
FAQ
Do these QR codes expire?
No. The content is encoded directly in the code — there’s no short link or redirect through our servers, so it keeps working forever.
How do Wi-Fi QR codes work?
Enter the network name, password and security type. Scanning with a phone camera joins the network without typing the password.
PNG or SVG?
SVG for print — it scales to any size without blurring. PNG for websites, documents and messaging apps.
Why won’t my QR code scan?
Keep a white margin around it, print it at least 2 cm wide, and keep strong contrast between code and background. Raise error correction to Q or H if it may get damaged or partly covered.
Is my data stored?
No. Everything happens in your browser; nothing you type is sent anywhere.
Can I use the QR codes commercially?
Yes, free for any use. QR Code is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE.
